We are an educational research center that brings together the capacities of four prestigious Chilean institutions: the Catholic University of Chile, the Chile Foundation, the Alberto Hurtado University and the University of the Frontier.
Our objective is to create and transfer knowledge about educational policies and practices and to form human capital in both areas, and so have an impact on the education of all Chileans, particularly the disadvantaged.
Our research agenda tackles strategic national education issues from public policy to teaching practice, together with the role of school principals and teacher training. Our research always takes into account the consequences for and impact on the classroom, that is teaching effectiveness.
